The organized unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of Mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Our Unit consists of three Circles.
The Circle of Hope (meets first Monday morning 10:00 each month)
Circle of Faith (meets first Tuesday morning 10:00 each month)
Circle of Love (meets first Monday night 7:00 each month)

We welcome you to visit the circle of your choice and we always welcome new members.

Our Unit is involved in supporting Hunter School, Teen Challenge, Baby Basics, Henderson Settlement and many other mission projects.  We have a Bazaar and Yard Sale in October which is our largest mission project.

The United Methodist Men (UMM)

St. John’s United Methodist Men is a chartered group under the United Methodist Church.  It meets the last Thursday of each month at 6 pm with a gathering, followed by dinner at 6:30 (prepared by one of our UMW circles), a program and our business meeting.

Our fellowship is open to all men.  We offer a variety of programs, from a representative of one of the agencies we support to “advice” from the police department.

Since 1975 years we have conducted our annual Christmas tree sales project with the money going, primarily, in support of about 20 missions. The men are involved in a variety of projects, from the up-keeping the lawn to assisting the women during their annual bazaar.
