As Time Passes By
As I look into 2017, I look at a block of time. I see 12 months, 52 weeks, 365 days, 8,760 hours, 525,600 minutes, and 31,536,000 seconds. All of this is a gift from our God. We do not deserve it nor can we earn it. We can’t even buy time. Time is a part of life.
This thing called time is not ours, it is God gift to us all. The rich, poor, educated, ignorant, strong and weak.
The most important thing about time is you can not stop it. You can’t even slow it down, turn it off or adjust it. It just goes on and on and on. Once time is gone you can not bring it back. The singer said it best. “Yesterdays gone and tomorrow may never be known. Lord for my sake, teach me to take one day at a time.”
Yesterday is lost and tomorrow is so uncertain. So, let us all look at the New Year, though, it is not promised and we have no guarantee that we will see it. Let’s plan anyway.
Time is something we should not waste, nor worry over. We should spend it wisely.
The New Year offers plenty of time, let us not throw it out the window, let us make every moment count. As time passes us by, let us continue to give our Lord and Savior His praise, glory and honor in the time that we have left.
